GamerGate - Brothers fighting for a cause

Firm supporter of gamergate here; please don't do this. It's one thing to have cute little metaphors about gamergate being a 'war', but please do not compare something as ultimately unimportant and non-lifethreatening as journalists being corrupt to marches for the civil rights movement.

It's not the same. It just makes you, and everyone who likes your posts, look like they have their head up their ass. Having poor coverage of videogames is not the same thing as being hunted down and killed because of your skin colour.

Agree entirely, to me it's just as bad as Anti-GG using Nazi Germany for GamerGate. Using a serious historical event to give pathos for your point is definitely not something to do. It's incredibly tacky, and at worst makes you look like a self-righteous jerk.
