I didn't want to make the comparison, personally, since I was worried maybe some would feel I was exaggerating (we already get some people commenting on the main page how they feel the "war and military" comparisons are overblown), but really I feel he is not wrong. The way gamers are being treated now by certain parts of the media really does remind me a lot of how Muslims and Middle Eastern people were treated after 9/11, especially after I saw some people outright comparing all pro-GG people (or even all gamers in general) to "terrorists."

To a lesser degree I've seen some people out there (like Sam Biddle) basically act no better than your typical grade school bully, treating gamers as "nerds" who "deserve to be bullied," and as someone who was bullied back when I was younger I, frankly, don't want to put up with that kind of shit as an adult.

Sorry in advance for the rant but I have got to get this off my mind:
Evil people have a knack for turning something good and just into something twisted, destructive, and hateful. The swastika is a sacred symbol in Hinduism that symbolizes prosperity and goodness. Hitler and the Nazis turned the swastika into a symbol of racial and nationalistic supremacy and ended millions of lives to prove it. ISIS and Al Qaeda, regarding all of the evil they have done… have brought much harm to peace-loving Muslims. Thinking this, I feel for Shahbaz. Feminism was once something good in a sense that the ideology desired to fully realize the rights and invaluable potential of women. I like to believe that they have made great successes in doing so. Now the Feminist movement today has been twisted and mutilated to reveal something monstrous and nefarious…
