Karen Apr 22. Vanbe On a Facebook group page I am on, someone apologized for making a racial slur. He used a word (spearchucker) that few realize is racial. Personally, I am tired of walking on eggshells not using words or not doing things that offend people. Someone pointed out to me that language evolves. Words that were once okay (or hand gestures...like ) change in meaning and we have to be sensitive to this. Can we go back to a time where we have conversations and get to know people's hearts rather than looking at a phrase or gesture and take offense? If new words are offending people, when do some of the old words fall off the offensive platform? Stepping off my soapbox. 26 10 comments

I would like to personally thank whom ever it was in our neighborhood that called the cops on my family last night for shooting off a few tiny fireworks and smoke bombs. No warnings, just a citation.
