Not really..? Artists like the ones on Wooden Plank Studios, RandoWis, Plebcomics, Owl Turd and Sarah's Scribbles succeeded just fine with SFW art and enough people gladly pay for them. People simply speak about the lewd ones more often for obvious reasons, and if anything, it is a lot more likely for a lewd artist to be left into obscurity and never be noticed due to how much competition the field has. You go against giants like sakimichan, Derpixon and Shadman who all have insane drawing skills and enourmous fanbases, so imagine how that must feel for any new NSFW artists out there. A crude porn drawing will certainly hog less attention than a crude funny drawing, since a joke does not have to be well-drawn to be funny.
This comic's point seems to be mostly for the comedic punchline rather than to make a serious point, given how the artist's works themselves seem to be decently popular enough while being SFW, and given how said approach seems to be a reccurent meta theme for the artist:
It would indeed not do for an artist to seriously dictate art trends for others, after all.
In a way, Nami seems to more often than not make fun of the various perceptions regarding porn art. Hell, one of her comics outright mocked the hypocrisy of people who rail against such material online.
