To answer your question, 12321pop2: Sure, it's been used before, but the most famous use is the Simpsons opening sequence, and the pictures often resemble the Simpsons' version or explicitly use Bart Simpson. While it isn't the Ur Example of the blackboard trope, it's certainly the Codifier and more or less the example that all the parodies follow.
