Pokémon - Ash is very oblivious

This is the same kid who during his Kanto days only caught a total of 10 to 20 Pokemon (over 100 if you count the shit load of Taurus from the Safari Zone) and won most of his badges throug bullshit technicalities.

Now if it was Gary, who if the series is focus on him would probably be the most original protagonist with actual personality, he wouldn't be fooled for a second by Team Rocket's obvious disguise.

Gary would have Jessie on her knee's blowing him ignore the fact he's 10 With Meowth on his lap and James serving him food.
