While I do agree with you on the sense that Nintendo shouldn't get away scott free with something other developers wouldn't (In fact, I'm barley fine with Amiibos based off the series being day one DLC as it were) but there is a point where I look at what the developers were trying to do, and how it came out in comparison to what they actually achieved. And right here, I'm being told what came as obvious to me from the day it was announced that there was a lack of voice chat.

Now, I'm not saying you're wrong. A lack of voice chat is a criticism. Something that would probably not get away with any other game, or developer. But this game was very clearly developed without that idea in mind, and worked with it.And it shows.

The game goes by to quickly for voice chat to really be of use. When I launch from my spawn to someone, if I end up splattered on the wall by the enemy, it's usually in the time I'm flying through the air that I know whether or not that will be the case. Whenever I see a pathway not covered in my ink, I don't ask someone else to cover it,I do it myself. I don't ask someone else to do it. I can say that I have actually played Splatoon over skype, and, at least from my personal experience, that didn't mean a damn thing.

Because people discuss strategy with teammates all the time in CoD.
