As a guy whos main fox in pretty much every smash game cept for smash 64. And has been training fox in smash 4 for about 5 months. I don't really agree with this. I mean I know amsa is an amazing player and all but fox being the best character in smash 4 is kinda hard to believe considering all the weakness he has in smash 4. Sure fox is really fast, can rack up damage, great footsies, has one of the best up tilts in the game, jab cancels, and has great kill setups. However fox is one of the lightest characters in the game tieing with pikachu and olimar being the 6th lightest character in the game this means he can die pretty easily, can't edgeguard with anything but nair due to the fact that his falling speed is as fast as a brick, has a predictable recovery making him easy to edgeguard despite the recovery buff, aerials aren't safe cept for bair, has to play defensive against certain characters(cough mario, ness, luigi, yoshi, pikachu) because some characters can just shut down his combo options. Fox is just a solid glass canon rushdown character being top 10 at best or top 15 at worst. Also I doubt him being the best is because of perfect pivoting and dash dancing since no one has been taking any of those things seriously in smash 4 but hey who knows. Maybe perfect pivoting and dash dancing might be more seriously in the future and 20XX might be reborn and everyone will be having a pocket fox again just like in melee whenever that happens.
