GamerGate - This was discussed in the beginning 2013 - ''gamers should be dead''

By killing gaming and fabricating an "ISIS of Gamers" to try and get the industry to change, all they've done is alienated anyone who wasn't already identifying themselves as a gamer.

Leaving only the ones they thought were "dead" as their audience, who at that point wanting nothing more than to grief as much as possible until the end of time.

I've seen people claim that they only meant the term "gamer", that actual gamers weren't being criticized, but rather only those who fit the description. But it's BS. It's like if every major right-wing news site put out an article about "Black people are Dead, Black people don't need to be your demographic" and wrote about "These ghetto-ass ratchet bitches, these gucci wearing buck tooth mammies, these white women rapin, watermelon stealin, friend chicken exclusive dieting, wellfare royalty n-words don't have to be your audience", nobody would believe them if they said "Well we didn't mean all black people, just a small section of you" and people actually bought and defended those pieces on these grounds.

Anyone else want to start a GamerGatePros e-mail group and write messages oozing with pretentiousness?
