ORAS Something both interesting, and a bit sad. (eef.pokemon) mschonberg 10 hours ago In ORAS, the DexNav lets you find Pokemon with hidden abilities, egg moves, a few perfect IVs, and all. And at so many levels. Low level Pokemon with night slash and boom burst, or higher as the game goes on. So where did they all come from? They weren't in the game before ORAS! We had to breed those moves and guaranteed IVs onto them! And that's when it hit me. We DID breed those egg moves, few perfect IVs, hidden abilities, onto those Pokemon. These are all the Pokemon that have been released over the years in the pursuit of that perfect IV, hidden ability, egg move touting Pokemon you've been breeding. They've been living in the wild now, hence the varying levels. And why do you have to sneak up on them, lest they run away? Because they remember what happened the last time they were with a human.

The fact that we can catch breeding "Rejects" and use them makes me kinda happy, in a way, it's like we're giving those Pokemon a second chance. A second chance at love, a second chance of being part of a team, part of a family. It kinda gives me a warm fuzzy feeling inside.

I see someone else figured out what I suspected all along about the Dexnav special encounters, only I figured they lurked near Routes and Caves so Trainer-sempai could notice them and catch/adopt them.
