No good can come to any company by becoming involved in Gamergate, even peripherally. It's darn near impossible to come out of this with anything positive, no matter what you might Tweet, post or otherwise distribute. It's important -- actually critically important to remember that you're not dealing with individuals who are content to argue issues. You're dealing with a significant number of fringe dwellers whose lives revolve around gaming, NOT real life or the real world. To them any criticism appears as a threat to their lifestyle. They live in a sphere where misogyny rules, where (most) women are depicted as little more than objects of desire. They can't "have" the women depicted in gaming, with the vast majority of them lacking the social interaction skills to even speak to a real live woman on an intelligent level. If you think I've exaggerated, find a serious gamer and spend 10minutes listening to his rants about how women have dissed him repeatedly and how the world is against him, how he can't find a decent job, how he hasn't had a date since Junior High and how only his mother - with whom he stl lives in his 30s--is the only one who understands him. Gawker encourages bullying and shaming people into submission using geeralisations and childish insults. OP defends Gawker… using generalisations and childish insults.

OP's point mostly boils down to "I don't care about your opinion because I think you're a loser. Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah. You're so childish you stinky losers."
