It's true, you should report any threats or any criminal activity to your local police. Where we can be set apart from the SJWs is that we won't publicize any such events for pity or to attempt to shame the other side into giving up with guilt by association. Just let law enforcement do their work.
I remember that CameraLady was working with some lawyers regarding the IGF's apparent money laundering/racketeering. That whole thing where Polytron (Fez)'s investors were judges on the IGF and helped it win awards to boost sales that they then profited from as per the arrangements of the investor loans.
Haven't head that much news in the last couple weeks about it, but CameraLady has periodically dropped in to say that they're still moving forward. It's probably just a matter of the legal process taking time.
As for all the stuff mentioned by this anon, yeah, we should probably get something going. Problem is, lawyers are expensive, and companies like Gawker have well-paid, really good ones. The cost to fight these people on a legal battlefield where they are the media, would be extremely expensive. We'd need to raise tens of thousands of dollars to hire decent lawyers, as much money if not more than we donated to TFYC, and we'd need to do it really fast while there's still momentum in our favor.
It's a smart thing that this anon is suggesting, it'd just be really hard to pull off in practice.
Not to mention, there's the very real possibility that the judge would lean toward their side (either by being paid off or simply being swayed by their superior lawyers), and then we'd be double fucked.
