GamerGate - I just wanted to play video games

You know, the more this controversy goes on… The more true this picture gets for me.

I mean, I've been feeling like this for a long while now. I've always argued that games are art, something I still think, but never thought "why do I care?". I mean, if something moves me, it just does, and I don't care about "fine arts", so why make the argument? And then realized the main reason was because I just wanted to not get shit for my favourite hobbie and way of escapism. For it to be seen as the same as reading a book, or watching a movie, as well as being able to discuss it without being mocked. That's it.

What I didn't see coming was all the shitstorm that the incoming "culture critics" bring along, nor this mess between game "journalists" and SJW crying missoginy/sexism like they're the words of the fucking day.

So yeah, I suppose what I want to say is

George wasn't that bad, I mean sure he ate people and destroyed buildings landmarks but what else are you gonna do as a giant monkey.
