I sincerely hope custom moves are allowed in tournament play. Obviously there would need to be limitations so as to not destroy the balancing -- something like only 2 (or even 1, if necessary) allowed on your fighter -- but having them is almost a must at this point, as it would reinvigorate the metagame, not to mention further help Smash 4 set itself apart competitively.

I don't go to tournaments myself, but I sure as hell love watching them. Especially when pros are involved.

You know what I just realized? That this image confirms that if custom moves wind up being allowed in tournament play that opponents will always see which ones are chosen no matter what. Why? BECAUSE THEY'RE CHOSEN ON THE CHARACTER SELECT SCREEN.

At least that's what it sounds like.
