Honestly, the "Magical Mystery Cure" part should have just been its own episode.
I mean, a personality/job swap is an awesome premise for an episode, it's actually been on my wish list for a long time (since S1!). It would have been perfect as a mid-season comedy-centric episode (and considering where it would have been if S3 had been 26 episodes long, I kinda wonder if that's what it was originally meant to be).

But the whole "Princess Coronation" bit? Yeah, that should have been in a different episode entirely (or not at all, but that's beside the point here). Preferably there would have been an actual villain to fight, and it would have been a two-parter, and THEN we would have got to watch Twilight ascend to god-hood, only after having first defeated a dangerous new foe.

I mean c'mon, all she did in the episode was solve a problem that she herself caused!
After all, it was established in Magic Duel that Twilight ISN'T actually all that powerful. Apparently there are spells that senior Unicorns can do which she can't (age spells, namely). So why is it that just a few episodes later, she's all of a sudden so special that she gets to be the first pony in history to actually ascend to what amounts to a higher state of being?

Idk, just seems a little contrived to me.
