And you seem to think that any inconvenience absolves a character from being a Mary- Sue when most of them have tragic backstories then how come she was genuinely uncertain during Games Ponies Play? Because she was an idiot and was still treated like a wise and respectable Princess, now THAT is obviously a Mary-Sue trait Cadence is the quintessential Mary Sue. She induces bad writing that makes her never wrong so she looks good. She is friends with the main character, wife of the also never mentioned beloved brother, Princess with fancy name and everybody loves her so much that they lose their mind. The love to her was so strong that it made Chrysalis defeat Celestia and later her love defeated the new villian and her entire army. Everyone else was useless despite the fact that they dealt with stonger villains or are considered demigods, everyone except new character. Original author wanted no more than 2 very important alicorns? Who cares, our never mentioned before character totally deserves to be one. Wait, what is our princess going to rule? A Crystal Empire that will be the center of events from now on, and everybody will go on about how awesome it is.
