A somewhat botched and incomplete update, but yeah it got a summer update. VSH, a community game mode that's been around for over a decade was made official, but was not functional on rotation so it was taken down. The community patches seems to not have even been implemented, something several people were looking forward to. Apparently, there were only 2 Valve employees that worked on the update.

Still, this somehow was enough to bring in so many players. Valve is sleeping on TF2's potential and I could only imagine what the game could be today if they dedicated more resources to it.

So basically, Overwatch's best feature is made possible by Valve?
