Regardless of who kills her, they're going to try to pump up the sappiness on it HARD. There will be an angry dragon bellowing mournfully. This will be followed by a moment it will either look at the killer with anger, or just fly off. In my mind the most sappy and predictable is "Jon kills Dany. Dany has a moment of self realization that she went mad. Dany dies peacefully. Dragon comes in all confused and angry. Dragon flies off to a better place (i.e. screenwriting cliche don't kill the cat)." If the dragon flies off carrying Dany across the ocean I'm going to f------ punch something.
