Obviously I AM IN LOVE WITH YOUR WORK . I am continuously finding new thinks in it ( it is Magic) .and I want so very much to fix this. I explained to Jon that I created 25 pieces in your print at an average price of $250 per piece. I would love to offer you 15% royalty as compensation which would equal $950. I can Venmo or PayPal you tomorrow. I became so in love with it, and inspired by it, that I wanted to make a fabric out of it. My enthusiasm got away from me, and I made a rushed decision. I made fabric out of the print without doing my due diligence, and finding out who the original artist was. As soon as it was brought to my attention, I made contact with Brendan and immediately offered compensation. Some people may think we are a huge brand with deep pockets, but the reality is I'm struggling to pay rent right now, to pay my staff. This is not an excuse, but I genuinely thought that 15% of the sales was fair a compensation, and never an attempt to low ball Brendan for his incredible work. I consider myself an artist as well, and I'd like to think I can put myself in Brendan's shoes. I am, and have been from the beginning, deeply apologetic for this overstep, and want nothing more than to make it right. Dear Anonymous Passerby, Don't worry, you're safe now! Your act of casual cruelty was successful. The complaint you lodged with the HOA was heard. They had me take down the small treefort that I built on this location with my sons during the pandemic. No longer will its presence offend your walk) past my house. Please enjoy your stroll free from the sound of my children's play and laughter. They are safely back inside now, watching television I'm sure. Enjoy the unobstructed view of my backyard.
