Its such a novel concept isn't it? Selling a product that people are willing to buy, using feedback to improve your product and thereby getting your customers to spend more money on your product.
Its a transaction, a simple symbiotic relationship, we both have something that the other person wants so we exchange for it. Its worked this way since the dawn of Human civilization so I can't understand where all of this hostility is coming from.
Whenever this topic comes up I always flashback to the Ghostbuster 2016 kerfuffle and how much animosity they had for the audience right out of the gate. Like they are angry that they have to provide the audience a product.
