Now, speaking with UK news outlet The Sunday Times, it sure sounds like Clarke has very similar feelings as the fans' – and even felt some type of way about it before she filmed the final episode. First hitting on Jon Snow's moment of betrayal to Dany, Clarke shared, "Yeah, I felt for her. I really felt for her. And yeah, was I annoyed that Jon Snow didn't have to deal with something? He got away with murder – literally." She went on to tell The Sunday Times, "I knew how I felt [about the ending] when I first read it, and I tried, at every turn, not to consider too much what other people might say. But I did always consider what the fans might think - because we did it for them, and they were the ones who made us successful, so it's just polite, isn't it?" and continued later, saying, "It was all about the set pieces. I think the sensational nature of the show was, possibly, given a huge amount of airtime because that's what makes sense." Clarke also admitted she was sad Dany didn't get a "happy ending" and shared the she thought the final season of Game of Thrones might have been more satisfying if it had lasted more than six episodes: "VWe could have spun it out for a little longer."

I can't prove him wrong. because he's not wrong. ogy When George RR Martin left the show at the end of Season Four, he gave David Benioff and DB Weiss a rough outline and conclusion for the story. Benoff and Weiss are Game of Thrones' executive producers and showrunners, who from Season One on had counted on GRRM having his sixth book completed and published so the tale could continue into the remaining seasons. As George has blown through every deadline he was ever given, they should have known better. The first four seasons were taken from the existing five books, and gave viewers a glorious adventure courtesy of the master storyteller. But from the beginning of Season Five on, Benioff and Weiss were on their own, and their "own" – I'm sorry to say – wasn't good enough. ions The Wonder Boys simply aren't screen writers and don't understand the fantasy genre as it appeals to adults. Unfortunately, that didn't stop them from butchering every character arc and carefully created plot point, from the slaughter of Doran Martell by the Sand Snakes (and a bigger bunch of twits has yet to be seen) to Daenerys' unexplained mental reversal leading her to roast thousands of innocent King's Landing residents. es George has said the show "needed" at least two more full seasons for completion, but Disney Studios called, waving three Star Wars movies at D&D.
