I'm not sure I have ever seen this but I will say there is like a small subset of people on this site that hold stupid grudges over very small things and stalk and bury your comments over it, Just look at what happened to Bill Stan.

Honestly it is beyond childish and it seems to happen almost at random to people so I could understand the concern of sharing something controversial on their main account. if I had to guess there are just like handful of people who make alt account and go around downvote bombing targeted users.

I mean granted downvotes and upvotes aren't everything but when you get buried for saying just about anything it can really make it just not worth commenting at all.

If people decide to make a throw-away proxy for hot-takes, the least they could do is personalize it as an alter ego. Otherwise just:

Hide Throw-away Proxy Threads, Ignore Throw-away Proxy Posts, Do Not Reply To Throw-away Proxy Posters.
