I actually got something similar on this:

You know Wii Fit Plus? There's a feature where you could weigh dogs and babies, but back in the day I used to weigh my previous dog before she passed away (taken too soon by a truck). My current dog's also recorded in the game too, so they both exist in the game hanging with each other in some way. And that feels real consoling.

But I think the best part is that there was an mole game added in Plus, where you could actually whistle for a dog to help you out. I would always get my previous dog to help since she passed, so it always felt like she was keeping an eye out for me, even after death. Now the current one's getting up there in age, and I'm so not ready for that day to come in a few years. I won't be playing Wii Fit Plus for a while, but when I do, it's gonna be a whole lot of that Mole Game and hanging around with the good memories of my dogs.
