Not a bad message. One of the things I dislike on western religions (outside of the outlying nutjobs) is the idea of "It teaches you to be a good person" when it's more like bribery of "Do good for paradise." Compared to a person who does good for the sake of doing the good.
Not the first I've seen of it too, oddly enough. Bruce Almighty has that "Be the Miracle." message to it and even Futurama with "When you do things right, people will think you didn't do anything at all."
That said, I kind of don't like the inference of God "creating" the atheist. As it not only muddies the idea of free will, but also makes it seem like God screwed over a portion of people just to give his actual believers a story on morals.
One of my biggest gripes is the concept of original sin.
While I, an ordinary mortal man does not fault the son for the sins of his father, some omnipotent entity stays butthurt for eons.
That I'm supposed to worship said entity doesn't really seem reasonable.
