Dude, if the information is being presented by a bad person, you need to consider the fact that the information, is possibly not actually any good. They will cheery pick everything they can to produce a narrative, and by doing so present "true" things that are stitched together to present a thing that is not.

If you want a good video on how this can be done, Dan Olsons video on the documentary "The Principle" for an example of how information from credible sources can be positioned in a way to reinforce a bullshit narrative. For the record, the principle is a documentary where a bunch of cranks tricked scientists to do interviews that they then used to create a narrative that scientists agree that the universe revolves around the earth
