I've said before, that while I'm 100% against companies doing nonsensical racial/gender swaps from source material, Disney's Aladdin is one where changing Aladdin into a woman and keeping everything else exactly the same could actually work. The original story's conflict involved class disparity, this change would also add extra dynamics to elements such as "wishing to become a prince."
Just my 2 cents, and this hypothetical only takes into account the movie in its ideal form; I have no doubt that current Disney would turn it into a trainwreck if they tried my suggestion.
