The lie here is that each individual person is guilty of being directly responsible, and thus should be directly in control of fixing, the current climate catastrophe we're experiencing. Not only is this not true, as wasteful exploitation of resources by certain countries as well as the unbelievable carbon footprint output by major companies massively outpacing the footprint of individual civilians are much more harmful, but it also gives the implication that you, likely knowing diddly squat about anything, should be leading the charge demanding change as if you know which of the thousands of dials that run the world you'd need to alter to make things better.
