Erwinator, it's from Citizen Kane, a movie considered by some to be one of the greatest of all time (although it's pretty tedious by today's Michael Bay standards). After a disastrous opera performance, Kane rises and begins to clap, slowly and loudly, speeding up the tempo until he's finally stopped.
