99.5% of modern porn either have no proper director, or said director has no idea how to direct anything. He has no idea how to position the actors to show off their features in the best light, the scenes drag on and lack variation, distinct lack of any foreplay or sensual touching of the partner, oversuse of exact same ineffective camera angles, overabundance of closeup shots that don't actually show anything of worth, and the camera regularily drifts off to show a closeup of the guys taint which instakills the boner.

Meanwhile good animators spend time chosing the right angle to show the model in the best way, position the lighting to highlight the scene and so on. Sure there's plenty of bad animation out there, but the ratio of good to bad is much better.

Also recently there been an upsurge of traditionally drawn porn animations which is great.
