Pokémon - Lucario implements conway's game of life in qbasic

If Pokemon existed in our reality.
No need for fighting, and when captured…. Well you're not allowed to anymore since 1978 officially.
They can just be persuaded and legally forced out of their habitat by the government and private investors
and this is pretty much how it ends up.
Wouldn't be surprised if there's struggling new unions specifically just for Pokemon being used to care for other humans who are either too lazy or have a victim mentality towards Pokemon to help them….
This is starting to sound like a stupid fanfic satire with way too much political criticism for it's own good
