You don't judge a the quality of translation by comparing each words. The goal of porting a show into another language is to make sure the resulting script fit as much as possible with the destination culture and the resulting voices are timed right AND sound right, according to how the lips are moving. This causes a massive amount of words and expressions to change and to not become translated literary.
Words also changes depending on soundings (Rhyme) or play of words/jokes. In that case, should "Harmonie" be used instead of "équilibre", it's likely it would completely destroy the hard work that was put in place somewhere else, where "équilibre" was more fitting.
So NOPE. That's NOT obvious :P
I think the translation is very good. I didn't notice anything weird at all when watching the show for the first time, neither I could notice anything that would feel too "english" or smell like it was translated. I started watching MLP in french and this is what made me a brony. :P
