Same. Despite its name, social media is anything but "social" these days, so you are better off using it for the "media" part instead and leave the social aspect to real-life interactions as much as possible. If anything, Twitter distances you from being properly in touch with people in an acceptable social aspect if you spend too much time in it.
Twitter lets you say things that you used to be unable to say because you'd get punched in the mouth. And while getting punched in the face never happened, on some level of thinking you knew that it could happen if you said something truly horrible. Knowing its impossible to be punched in the face, or even identified, is what turned twitter into a shithole.
Also 140 characters can start a fight but not peacefully resolve a complex issue. The platform was practically designed to cause fights.
