This problem is one of the main reasons why I still haven't even started watching it. Its length is just way too intimidating for me to so much as try.
The other reason is that, since both the manga and the anime have been going on for at least 20 years now, I have a feeling that the first few arcs are going to be hard to get through, both due to being made during Oda's earliest years of writing and the initial art-style likely being really old and outdated
