To be totally fair, most characters in the show had change of designs since season one. Graphical changes are fine between seasons, it’s just the evolution of a show who try to find itself. Huge variations of height like this between episodes in the same season though, are not okay.

In short: Schmoll Connie is bearable, very schmoll Peridot is not.

I mean, personally, I prefer Greg's newer look. Very huggable.
But, it's still a symptom of Crewniverse's aversion to design consistency, and it's done more harm than good, ultimately taking our smol Dorito and making her entirely too smol to hold her giant Dorito head.
