Yep, that's what it made me think.

She arrived on Homeworld only to discover that everything has changed so much it scares her, and that there is a Peridot who somehow knows about Steven (i.e. her only ally) and is going to Earth with a Jasper to deal with it. So you can see why she would be miserably sitting in a cell and worrying about Steven like this.

Now, yes, she made a number of wrong decisions after that. However, she believed she was doing the right things that essentially come down to protecting Steven and not wanting to team up with you three clods. But that's a different disussion now.
