I love going on /r/gameofthrones to watch them reassure/convince each other that the ending wasn't a complete pile of bullshit. | /r/FreeFolk

The next episode I start will be Battle of the Bastards. Jaime_Lannister: Jaime Lannister 3 points 7 hours ago Rewatching the show definitely makes it better, IMO. The ending was supposed to make you go « W--? », and then you go back and you see all the hints. I have rewatched, many times, and it simply strengthened my belief that this is the right ending. Some choices seemed undeveloped at first, because we were expecting something else, but when you watch the show knowing where it ends, you catch a lot of stuffs that you previously missed or simply ignored because they weren't in-line with the ending you had in mind. Also, when you watch the show in « one go », without that massive two years break before the conclusion, it also helps I think. A little time for the viewers to breath and absorb what's happening on screen. All my problems with the ending are about S8EP4. That's why I think it's better on rewatch, because you already know where it's going. You're not taking by surprise this time, so you don't need those breathing moments to absorb what's happening.
